1. What happened to REO Expo?
If you’ve been lucky enough to join us during the past three years at REO Expo, you’re going to find the evolution of REO Expo into REX truly satisfying: bringing together the best of the REO and distressed real estate industry, alongside the best of the rest of the real estate industry? It’s a combination that can’t be beat, especially for distressed professionals looking to diversify their businesses, gain a new outlook on the real estate industry as a whole, or those looking to understand how to connect what they do in the distressed market with the larger real estate market as a whole.
2. How many people will be attending this event?
In our previous three years, we’ve hosted more than 6,000 real estate professionals. We expect REX 2013 to at least reach the attendance totals we’ve seen in previous years, although we certainly expect we may very well exceed these totals given the amazing conference we’re putting together for this year. (Subtle hint: register now before we sell this thing out!)
3. What’s different about REX vs. every other conference?
Engaging, exciting content and world-class speakers. An incredibly dynamic format that keeps general sessions moving at breakneck pace: you’ll find yourself more engaged than ever before. A great venue in Fort Worth, TX, right in the center of the U.S. But most importantly: all of these things, and more, for a price that simply isn’t seen anywhere else.
We mean it, too: we think the time has come to stop lining the pockets of conference organizers. Sure, we have to cover our costs, but it’s high time to learn the tools and techniques that can help YOU learn to grow your own business. That’s what really sets REX apart from the pack, our commitment to our attendees to keep prices fair and in line, while delivering truly world-class content and networking that has long been the HousingWire hallmark.
4. Do I get food at this event, or what?
That’s up to you. You can choose to register under our general admission pass, or to buy a VIP pass.
All general registrations include tickets to our opening and first night receptions: these special networking events will include beverages as well as light hors d’oeuvres. General registrations also include our snacks made available throughout the day in various areas of the exhibit hall. Other than that, you’ll be on your own for your meals: a variety of options for breakfast and lunch can be purchased on site directly at the venue, or you can walk to any one of more than 50 available eateries located in Downtown Fort Worth (and we recommend you grab a friend or two and go!).
Our VIP registrants will receive complimentary breakfast and lunches during the main two days of the event, June 3 and 4, in addition to expanded beverage access throughout the event, as well. If you’re accustomed to having your meals included with your conference fee, so you don’t have to worry about most of your meals, our VIP registration option is your best bet — and it’s still vastly less expensive than any other competing conference, too!
5. What’s the cancellation policy? And how do I request a refund?
We’ll try to spare you the legalese — you’ll be asked to agree to our terms & conditions before you purchase your conference pass — so here’s the bottom line: before May 1, you can cancel and get a full refund, sans a 25% processing fee. After May 1, no refunds will be made, but you can substitute freely (until a deadline of May 15, 2013). So if you can’t go but a colleague can, make the switch: and then tell your friend to buy you a nice bottle of wine for your generosity (or, you could just ask them to cut you a check).
If you’d like to request a refund, simply contact the REX concierge desk at 866-978-2610, M-F, 9am-4:30pm; or you can email the concierge desk at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’ll be glad to assist you.
6. How do I edit my registration? Or how can I RSVP for special meetings?
