Managing code compliance and property preservation efforts has never been more important: with record number of defaulted properties remaining vacant and stalled in some stage of repossession, and the number of foreclosed properties nationwide at levels still four times historical averages, keeping neighborhood blight at bay has become a front-burner issue for many local cities and municipalities.

The HW Forum on Code Compliance is designed to provide communication between portfolio managers, property preservation companies, legal representatives, and code enforcement officers to discuss real property condition concerns/trends, new legal requirements, legal concerns/ownership, communication strategies, and potential solutions.

The firms participating in the inaugural HW Forum on Code Compliance represent leaders in the industry, committed to protecting and restoring local neighborhoods — and to working with local officials to coordinate efforts to ensure the best possible outcome for all parties.

Help Us Save Our Neighborhoods!

Property condition responsibility has been long argued and is normally tied to legal ownership and possession.  At the end of the day, Cities are looking at anyone on title for help but may not be aware of who is legally responsible and when or who to contact.  With our panel of experts, we will discuss legal responsibilities, title review, and communication avenues.
